We need a new subgenre... cornball!
This was a corny movie. I can't say much for it, but I bet my 8 going on 9 year old daughter would enjoy it. Myself, I couldn't help but like it. All of the visuals were so on target for the time setting, 1942, which makes a big difference to me. It was short length as well which was thoughtful of the director. There wasn't a lot to the movie after all so why drag it out?
Typical comedy of a young small town naive fellow who is unknowingly placed in his (unknown to him) dead father's role as head of a racketeering mob, with a light romance mixed in, and a well packaged Hollywood ending. Quite a few plot holes and things left unexplained. If you can suspend criticism you can relax your mind and enjoy this less than 60 minute gangster comedy. 4 stars.

No, Morgan doesnÃÂt sing ÃÂTake On MeÃÂ
A son of a deceased mobster is unwillingly ceremoniously placed as the new leader of a racket the mob has put together, even though he is a bit naïve and light headed. Through a clumsy series of events, he opens an insurance company that covers insurance claims on mob hits, even though he has no idea that this is all a front for the Mob. Soon, he gets way over his head, and eventually has to pretend to be someone that he is not to clear his name!
If this whole premise sounds familiar, you may be right. This film, of all things, is a pre-siccessor to Corky Romano, which is about a dim-watt son of a Mobster infiltrating the FBI, unknowingly to benefit the mob. Another similarity? TheyÃÂre both pretty awful.
James Cromwell, who plays the title character, looks strikingly like Jude Law. Too bad he canÃÂt act like him. The film, which is typical for these type of pictures, jumps all over the place from comedy to action to drama to thriller, leaving plot holes galore. But this is never boring, just stupid in its approach.

Baby Face Morgan
Baby Face Morgan is bound to please those who
like good comedy.A better than average script
with good acting makes this screwy plot all the
more enjoyable.A soda jerk is transformed into
a mob president and sells insurance policies that
end up paid from the mobs own bank. This development does not go over well.Oh,and how bout
Virginia? Will Baby Face,I mean Edward save her,
and how'd them rabbits grow so fast? Watch a
better'n average film that deserves five stars
in the B-Movie category! I really liked this one.
